Difference between fast charging and slow charging of charging pile
Fast charging and slow charging are relative concepts. Generally, the fast charging is high-power DC charging, which can charge 80% of the battery capacity in half an hour. Slow charging refers to AC charging, which takes 6-8 hours. Electric vehicle charging speed is closely related to charger power, battery charging characteristics and temperature.
At the current battery technology level, even if the battery is charged quickly, it will take 30 minutes to charge to 80% of the battery capacity. After 80%, in order to protect the battery safety, the charging current must be reduced. It takes a long time to charge to 100%. In addition, when the temperature is low in winter, the charging current required by the battery becomes smaller and the charging time becomes longer.
A car can have two charging interfaces because there are two charging modes: constant voltage and constant current. Generally, constant current and constant voltage are adopted, and the charging efficiency is relatively high. Fast charging is caused by different charging voltages and currents. The greater the current, the faster the charging. When the battery is about to be fully charged, switching to constant voltage can prevent the battery from overcharging and protect the battery.
Whether it is a plug-in hybrid vehicle or a pure electric vehicle, the vehicle will be equipped with an on-board charger, which can directly charge the vehicle where there is a 220V power socket. This method is generally used for emergency charging, and the charging speed is also the slowest.
At present, the vehicle plugs corresponding to 220V household power sockets have two specifications, 10A and 16A. Different models are equipped with different plugs, some with 10A plugs, and some with 16A plugs. The 10A plug has the same specifications as our daily household appliances, with smaller pins. The 16A plug pin is relatively large, which is the same size as the empty socket at home. It is relatively inconvenient to use. If your car is equipped with a 16A car charger, it is recommended to purchase an adapter for easy use.

1、 Type of Charge Point 1. By charging mode (1) AC charging pile AC charging pile, commonly known as "slow charging", is a power supply device that is fixedly installed outside the electric vehicle and connected with the AC power grid to provide AC power for the electric vehicle on-board charger.
Does higher power of charging pile mean faster charging?
The power of DC charging is related to our charging speed. Is the higher the DC charging power, the faster the charging speed? Yes, but not completely, because in addition to the output capacity of the charging pile, charging also depends on the acceptance capacity of the battery. It depends on your charging range, from 0 to 100% or 30% - 80% or 5% - 30%, etc.
